ScHoolboy Q joins his fellow TDE counterparts, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and many others as they do a hilarious spoof on the MTV Cribs show that was popular back in the day.

The much anticipated Oxymoron studio album by ScHoolboy Q is set to rival the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city.  ScHoolboy Q was just named one of XXL’s top freshman of 2013, a distinction that Kendrick got back in 2012.

Everything seems destined to be that ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, the last remaining newbies from TDE to release studio albums under Aftermath/Interscope/TopDawg.

Things are looking bright for these young rappers who’s mission is to bring west coast great music back to the new and older generations.

XXL Should Put ScHoolboy Q On Freshman Cover

Not only did ScHoolboy Q make the XXL 2013 freshman class, so did fellow TDE member Ab-Soul.  Congrats to both of them for making the grade, now lets just hope ScHoolboy Q lands himself on the COVER!

Last year Kendrick made the cut for the XXL Freshman Class of 2012 and look where he is now.  Let’s just say that ScHoolboy Q and the rest of TDE is destined for the same greatness.

Trinidad James, with all of his “All Gold Everything” success, seems to be a slam dunk, as does Schoolboy Q, who is prepping the release of his major-label debut, Oxymoron, for later this year.

ScHoolboy Q Kendrick Lamar Tear Up Oakland

With a surprise during the LongLiveASAP tour’s stop in Oakland, CA, ScHoolboy Q did what we only hoped he would do…Bring out his boy Kendrick Lamar to perform two tracks, the first being ADHD and then allowing Kendrick to have the floor to perform Backseat Freestyle before the good kid, m.A.A.d city album dropped.

ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar have been part of Black Hippy for the longest time and it’s great to see both having the success they are seeing right now.

Us as fans can do nothing but wish them more success and hope they keep producing the best music in hip hop right now.

ScHoolboy Q also reaffirmed that Kendrick is the True King of the West Coast and all the other rappers in the game are saying the same thing and it’s great to see the young man just getting all the accolades he deserves.

It’s only a matter of time before ScHoolboy Q’s next album drops and he sees the same success.

Kendrick Lamar Knows ScHoolboy Q “Can Turn Him Up”

Black Hippy is bringing the attention back to the West Coast.  Kendrick has been put at the forefront of the movement, but everyone knows that it’s not just Kendrick who bears the weight, but ScHoolboy Q and the rest of the crew too.

“Q always turns me up”, says Kendrick meaning that ScHoolboy Q knows how to get into his head and push the limits.

Congrats Kendrick on your debut album hitting #2 in iTunes on release day.  We hope the same success can come for the upcoming ScHoolboy Q album as well.

ScHoolBoy Q Didn’t Like Kendrick When They First Met Up

ScHoolBoy Q states that when Kendrick and him joined TDE, they butt heads.  They didn’t really understand each other, but now after 5 years and both artists hitting it big, they have a mutual respect for each other and are now friends.

ScHoolBoy Q states that he has a new album in the works and is about to finish up a new single.  He has spent a lot of time working with A$AP Rocky and Hands on the Wheel is seeing a bunch of air time.

ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky Appears In Noisey’s Video Series

ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky has been featured in Noisey’s back and forth video series. In Noisey’s back and forth series the two popular artists music interviewed each other. The earlier Noisey’s back and forth video had its own highs and lows. However the new video which features the fellow rappers ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky is a doozy.

Although the two black hippy rappers from America had denied the possibility of making an album together, ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky had been working together for a long time. They had come together for their fans during their tour LongLiveASAP.

The two friends talked in their typical blunt fashion about astute and random topics. ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky talked about moving in together, getting married, Al Sharpton’s head size, being at the BET Awards, having sex with China from WWF, Danny Brown being ugly, and the reasons why they want to stop fighting on tour and how much money would it take to have sex with a mentally challenged chick.

The video gets wider when ScHoolboy Q ASAP Rocky smokes a huge amount of weed. This would be one of the videos in the Noisey series that you would love to watch.

ScHoolboy Q Habits and Contradictions creates New Wave In Hip-Hop

The second independent album of Hip-Hop sensation ScHoolboy Q Habits and Contradictions gets great reception from both critics and fans.  ScHoolboy Q Habits and Contradictions released on January 14, 2012 on iTunes received an average score of 78 at Metacritic.

ScHoolboy Q Habits and Contradictions is a  treat for the fans of Black Hippy music and features other Hip-Hop artists including A$AP Rocky, Jhene Aiko, Dom Kennedy, Curren$y, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock.
