Schoolboy Says No For Black Hippy Album
For the fans of Black Hippy music, here comes bad news from ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock. Their long wait for a Black Hippy album ends in disappointment. ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock broke the heart of their fans by making it clear that they won’t release a Black Hippy album.
In their interview with Page31.com, the three California based rappers said that they would continue with their solo careers and no Black Hippy album would be released by them. Their emphasis on their individual projects makes it impossible to bring out a Black Hippy album, says ScHoolboy Q. This is certainly a bad news for the fans of the three California based rappers.
According to ScHoolboy Q there is no need for a Black Hippy album. He told that a Black Hippy album would be corny and Niggas won’t need it.“Why you want the hardest nigga’s to do an album? Why we can’t just do our own shit? Why ya’ll want all of us to do it? It’ll never come out right. When the hardest nigga’s always get together it never come out right. That’s how I feel. We the hardest nigga’s, but I just don’t feel it’ll come out right. At least right now.” ScHoolboy Q opened his mind during the interview with Page31.com.
ScHoolboy Q gives hope for fans
Ab-Soul had earlier made it clear that he is not ready for a black hippy album. Now the three popular rappers have said no for a combined album. While the three rappers said a no when asked about the release of a combined album in the near future, ScHoolboy Q gave a little hope for their fans.
ScHoolboy Q told that although there is no hope for a combined album release now, they may work together in the future when they feel the time has come. “I think maybe later on when we a little older, right now we cool. We too stuck onto our own shit,” said ScHoolboy Q in the interview video posted on HipHop-n-More.
