REVIEW OF CONCERT BY DANNY BROWN & SCHOOLBOY Q AT CLEVELAND’S HOUSE OF BLUES

ScHoolboy Q And Danny Brown Are The Best Hip-Hop Artists.

ScHoolboy Q and Danny Brown now belong to the first category of successful hip-hop show makers. On Friday night at Cleveland’s House of Blues they gave their fans a genuinely great show. The two ways to have a good show and exciting hip-hop show are to be a great rapper and to be good at a live show. ScHoolboy Q and Danny Brown proved that during the show.

Compared to ScHoolboy Q, Danny Brown’s songs are straight, abrasive and pretty fucking crazy. While most rappers drown in heavy beats, Danny Brown’s shrill voice cuts through the heaviest beats. “Piss Test”, “Blueberry”, “Blunt After Blunt”, and the cappella rendition of “I Will” all prove that Danny Brown is one part crazy, one part ridiculous, one part funny, and above all a great MC.

ScHoolboy Q is a great artist who could be surely called a genuine rapper. During live shows he sedates the audiences more than Danny Brown does. He sits and talks to the crowd between songs without affecting the effectiveness of his set. His live show is more sedate than Brown, sitting down and talking to the crowd between songs, but that doesn’t make his set any less effective. ScHoolboy Q cut through highlights from “Habits and Contradictions” and ended fast with a sing-a-long session fellow TDE hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar’s “A.D.H.D.”
